1. The Cathar trail: a journey through time 🏰

The Cathar trail is a must for discovering the history and landscapes of Ariège. This mythical path crosses medieval citadels and picturesque villages. During our stay, hikers can admire the famous castle of Foix and the remains of the Cathar fortresses of Roquefixade and Montsegur which overlook the valley. An immersion in the Middle Ages, where nature and history intertwine.

2. The Orlu nature reserve: a biodiversity sanctuary 🐾

The Orlu reserve, a preserved jewel of Ariège, is an essential stop on our itinerary. With its waterfalls, high-altitude lakes and exceptional wildlife (isards, marmot, bearded vulture), it offers a unique experience. 3. The GR10: the Pyrenean adventure par excellence ⛰️

The GR10, a long-distance hiking trail crossing the Pyrenees from one end to the other, also passes through Ariège.
