Self-guided stays and private group stays
It is you who choose your dates, according to the opening dates of the destination available on the stay page.
Group stays on Belle Allure dates (Road bike with assistance/Hiking with guide)
On the page of each stay, in the “”Dates and prices” you will find all the dates available for our stays.
As long as the travel contract is not signed and accompanied by the payment of the deposit, you can send us changes concerning your reservation request.
Once the travel contract is signed, the deposit is paid and that you confirm to us the good reception and compliance of this, your registration is validated.
We enter into the case of a change in the trip after the signing of the contract, in particular concerning the number of participants, the services booked, the dates and/or duration of the Trip, as well as the place of destination.
You can change your reservation one or more times once your registration has been validated.
However, each modification requires administrative and/or reservation procedures on our part. For each change requested, we charge €40 including VAT per modification and per person concerned.
Additional fees may apply depending on the service providers we work with. These costs depend on the changes and vary according to the type of service (accommodation, transport, etc.).
For stays in freedom or private groups
We confirm your stay once all accommodations have confirmed the reservation to us. 1 month before the date of your departure, we will send you an email including all the necessary information and access to your travel file on the application.
For group stays, with a minimum number of participants reached (road bike with assistance on our dates/guided hike on our dates)
As soon as the minimum number of participants for the departure of the stay is reached, we will send you this information by email confirming your stay.
In this case, 1 month before the departure date of the latter, we will send you an email including all the information you need for your stay.
For group stays, with a minimum number of participants not reached (road biking with assistance on our dates/guided hike on our dates)
40 days before the departure of the stay, we will take stock with you by informing you of the number of registered participants and the solutions envisaged to still have the group leave at an additional price.
A maximum of 3 weeks before the departure of the stay, we will definitively decide on the feasibility of the stay:
- If the minimum number of participants is not reached but we can confirm it at an additional cost per participant, we will confirm this upon receipt of the agreement of all participants.
- In the event that the number is not reached and no solution is possible to confirm it, we will proceed to cancel it under the conditions described below.
In the event of a cancellation due to an unreached number of participants, you will be informed by email or telephone, and you can then choose between a full refund of the amounts already paid or transfer these amounts to another trip of your choice. All expenses you have incurred (transport tickets, accommodation, materials, administrative costs) will remain at your expense.
Payment
At the time of signing the travel contract, you must pay a deposit of 40% of the total amount of your stay (including insurance, if applicable).
Then, 1 month before the start of your stay you must pay the balance of your stay, without a reminder from us.
It is possible to pay for your stay in several ways, depending on what suits you best.
We accept payments by credit card, via a secure payment link that we will send you by email (this is the most convenient solution 😉)
If you prefer, you can also pay by check or bank transfer. Please note that we do not accept cash payments for security and traceability reasons.
On each of our stays, a deposit of 40% of the amount of the stay will be required.
The balance of the stay will then be paid a maximum of 1 month before departure!
If you have questions or special needs regarding payment, we are available to help you find the most suitable solution.
After your payment, you will receive a payment receipt. If you want an invoice, please let us know so that we can send it to you 🙂
On each stay page, you will find a “Included/Not included” tab. If necessary, do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
On all our stays, transport to the meeting point, personal expenses, drinks consumed and insurance are not included in the price.
Prices are based on several factors to ensure a quality experience at a fair rate for all parties.
During our stays, we work with numerous partners in whom we have complete confidence, allowing us to ensure quality work.
They are your hosts, your baggage carriers and your guides/logisticians!
All of these partners are paid honestly and fairly.
The rates for stays also vary according to various factors: level of service and comfort, season, destination, group size,...
Finally, our operation is based on a transparent approach, making it possible to guarantee the quality of each stay and to ensure the sustainability of our agency. By applying a margin on our stays, we cover the direct costs (logistics, accommodation, transport) and we ensure that we can offer professional supervision, by being available and attentive to every detail. This margin allows us to live from our passion while maintaining excellent value for money, so that each adventure exceeds your expectations and leaves you with unforgettable memories.
Insurances
Stays in France
No obligation on your part to take out insurance with Belle Allure to make one of our stays.
However, you must benefit from civil liability insurance to register for one of our stays.
It is important to know well the guarantees of the insurance contracts that you already have on your side (Insurance linked to your means of payment and your Civil Liability for example) to prepare for all eventualities: if for example you cause injury to another person during the stay (civil liability), if you need to interrupt the stay (multi-risk insurance), if you need to interrupt the stay (multi-risk insurance), an event beyond your control requires you to cancel before your departure (cancellation insurance) etc...
Stays abroad
No obligation to subscribe to Belle Allure, but you must benefit from repatriation insurance. Some bank cards include it (if you pay with it of course 😉) but you have to make sure of it.
To be really serene, thanks to our partner Chapka, we offer multi-risk insurance that covers you many risks and especially in case of health problems during your stay. (See our various insurance offers in the question above 🔼)
We made the choice to work with Chapka as a travel insurance provider.
They are knowledgeable and responsive travel specialists. (They practice themselves 🚴🏻 ♀️😉)
We offer 4 formulas:
Explorer' Cancellation - pre-departure insurance
Including guarantees concerning: cancellation before departure, a missed plane, interruption of stay and flight delay.
Explorer' Multirisk - comprehensive insurance
Including guarantees concerning: cancellation before departure, a missed plane, interruption of stay and flight delay, medical expenses abroad, repatriation, search and rescue expenses, death/disability benefits, death/disability benefits, loss and delay of luggage etc.
Explorer' Complementary CB (available only for French residents)
Same guarantees as Multirisk in addition to: Gold Mastercard, Visa Premier, Visa Infinite, Platinum and American Express.
Explorer'Assistance - comprehensive travel assistance insurance
Same guarantees as Multirisk without the following guarantees: cancellation before departure, impossible departure, missed plane and flight delay.
⚠ Attention! For all options with the cancellation guarantee (Cancellation, Multi-Risk and Complementary Card), you must take out the contract at the time of your reservation, i.e. when signing the travel contract and paying the deposit. So do not hesitate to tell us as soon as possible. 🙂
For all our stays you must benefit from civil liability insurance.
For stays outside your country of origin (abroad) you must benefit from insurance covering your repatriation.
Then it depends on your situation and the destination
Even if our trips are only in Europe, the farther away the destination is, the more expensive the costs associated with potential repatriations or medical expenses, for example. So for any departure abroad, it is mandatory to have insurance covering your repatriation during the trip, the advance of medical expenses etc... such as multi-risk insurance with which you are more serene.
If there is a risk that you will have to cancel the stay (and unfortunately, there is always a risk), it can be very comfortable for more peace of mind to take out cancellation insurance that will allow you to be reimbursed the costs in the event of cancellation, even at the last minute. (you must subscribe it at the time of your reservation and a maximum of 48 hours after signing the contract and paying the deposit).
It is important to know the exact guarantees of the insurance contracts that you already have on your side (Civil liability and your insurance linked to your means of payment for example). This makes it possible to be prepared for all eventualities and to assess whether to take out insurance such as Complementary CB would be beneficial. This insurance reinforces and complements the guarantees of travel insurance associated with high-end credit cards, thus offering greater peace of mind.
With this additional insurance, offered by our partner Chapka, if you have a Gold Mastercard, Visa Premier, Visa Infinite, Platinum or American Express, you will benefit from the same guarantees as multi-risk insurance. Real comfort!
Hardware and Equipment
The essentials for road biking
Equipment:
- Adapted and revised road bike, with a development/gear adapted to the differences in altitude. (We can rent a high-end muscular or electric bike for you for your adventure, do not hesitate to contact us !)
- Helmet that has not been dropped, in very good condition. (We can't force you, but we highly recommend wearing a helmet during our cycling trips.)
- Cans (2x750 ml)
- Bicycle pumps
- Saddle bag with: Inner tube, repair kit and multitool
- Mini-pump and/or CO2 cartridges
- Speedometer or watch/GPS with loaded itinerary
Clothes:
- Full cycling outfit: jersey, shorts, gloves, socks. (At least twice to wash and change every day)
- Windbreaker and lightweight waterproof jacket
- Breathable technical underwear
- Cycling shoes (with new cleats, it's the best!) and overshoes
Safety accessories:
- Reflective vest
- Front/rear lighting
- UV sunglasses
Others:
- Sunscreen, anti-friction balm
- Small backpack or bag to put your hot and rainy things if necessary (in assistance, it will be available in the vehicle).
- Always bring a small first aid kit and a few energy snacks (bars, gels that suit you).
What clothes should I wear for the stay? Do I need to provide hot and cold weather?
Good question! Although we still hope that the weather is perfect for your stays (not too hot, not too cold, big blue skies, the dream!) , it's the only thing we can't predict!
The list of clothes to bring will obviously depend on the season, the destination and the altitude at which you will be confronted.
However, we recommend that you always bring clothing that can withstand the following conditions: rain, heat and cold. In this way, you are ready for all conditions!
The base: Short-sleeved cycling jerseys for hot days, padded shorts that you're comfortable in for long hours in the saddle (and all of this, tested before the trip 😉)
Opt for technical materials that wick away perspiration and dry quickly.
You can opt for the multi-layer system:
- Breathable technical underwear to wick away perspiration
- Warm jacket or light jacket
- Not to mention a waterproof jacket (Goretex type), essential for going down mountain passes or in case of rain.
Also bring arm warmers, neck warmers, and long shorts for cooler days.
What type of shoes should I wear?
On our hiking trips, it is strongly recommended to choose shoes adapted to the terrain and the duration of the planned stages.
We recommend high-top shoes that hold the ankle well and are waterproof if possible. The sole must be in good condition and capable of adhering to technical and slippery surfaces.
Finally, and this is probably the most important point: your shoes must have been broken in beforehand, you must feel good from one shoe to the other. We do not recommend that you leave on a stay with completely new shoes.
What size backpack should I choose?
For your hikes, where the main luggage is taken care of by a carrier during the day, we advise you to choose a backpack with a capacity of 30 to 40 liters.
So you can put your things for the day, your picnic, a few snacks, and your water! For optimal comfort, we recommend a backpack with a waist belt, and well adapted to your size and morphology, which you have tested beforehand.
What should I carry in my day bag?
For a hassle-free hike, here's what you need to have in your backpack:
- Water: every hiker Must have at least 1.5 liters of water on him. Think of insulated bottles to keep the water fresh, it's very valuable 🙂
- Picnics and snacks: In the morning, remember to leave with your lunch picnic. If you have chosen the option, the host will give it to you in the morning, either at breakfast or when you leave. Also, remember to have a few snacks, such as cereal bars, fruit pastes, dried fruits, nuts,...
- First aid kit: Just in case, it is always advisable to leave with your first aid kit: bandages, compresses, disinfectants, personal medications,... also think of sunscreen!
- Your mobile phone: Even if the purpose of a hiking trip in nature is to disconnect and enjoy the nature around you, it is necessary to bring your charged mobile phone, and with a portable battery if possible. This will allow you to find your bearings and prevent emergency services in the event of an incident.
